I grinded 6" lambda/4 elliptic mirror many years ago.
Do not do it, it is not worth it! Grinding dust gets everywhere, it destroys your workshop and is significant health risk. And it is very difficult to do without handson leadership.
Instead buy cheap Chinese dobsonian, and try to rebuild it into ultralight travel telescope. You can take 10" dobsonian into airplane...
