We don't need more studies to tell us this. It is already established. What we don't have is policies to make use of this knowledge. That is because most people who could do something don't actually care because they themselves gain nothing from it.
The problem with the diagnosis is that those in power are responsible for the organizations and structures that make this happen and don't want to accept that the system as is is causing it. Like a smoker who refuses to believe that their lymphoma is caused by smoking 3 packs a day.
